I believe that everything will be fine

As a child, Oksana Malchenko was a big dreamer: she dreamed a lot and constantly about everything in the world. Including about work: “I wanted to become a boss, a director - it didn't matter for what exactly. The main thing is to hold this position”.
Before the war, Oksana did not have time to realise her dream. She worked as a civil servant as a court secretary. When she came to Prague at the beginning of March 2022, of course, what happened was beyond even her strangest dreams. The first thing Oksana did was learn the Czech language and was always looking for a job. She finally found one that fit six months later. Since August, she has been working as a social worker for Ukrainians in an organisation called R-Mosty.
"I help Ukrainians to find housing, a doctor for their child or for themselves, a school, a kindergarten, I provide services and consultations regarding the preparation of various necessary documents," says Oksana.
Previous work experience, she believes, helped her a lot. After all, in the Czech Republic, as in Ukraine, one works with documents and people.
To our question "what's next?" Oksana throws up her hands and admits that she doesn't know. After all, now, when everything around is changing rapidly, it is difficult to plan something. But she still wants to dream and wants to believe that everything will be fine.
